Extra items like treasure chests (to unlock extra items, like alternate costumes) and GG tokens can also be found off the beaten path in most levels. Most are collected in challenges, while some are collected at the end of levels. These tokens are an essential part of the game, as they let you progress to the next level. You roam around as Spongebob or Patrick in a level, where you'll fight a multitude of different enemies to get to your goal: a GG token. You get to go deeper into the Thug Tug bar, Goofy Goober ice cream parlour, and many more areas, including Planktopolis (one of the most difficult areas of the game, but still enjoyable.)
